Tastes without Borders

Stories of  migration around the world told through food.

Tastes without Borders is a storytelling project founded by Sandra Rosenfeld that explores Jewish migration through food. Across countries, languages, and generations, recipes have traveled— carrying with them memory, identity, and history. This project brings together personal stories, cultural traditions, and lived experiences to show how food becomes a bridge between past and present. Because sometimes, what we cook is what we remember.

Sandra Rosenfeld Katz was born in Mexico. She built a career as a pastry chef while also dedicating many years to Holocaust education and the digital management of Holocaust education courses in the formal Holocaust institude as well as museum- Yad Vashem. Bringing together her passion for food, history, and education, Sandra works to preserve memories and share stories across generations. Today, she is invited to speak at events and participate in conferences around the world, including in Mexico, Serbia, the United States, Germany, and beyond, sharing her knowledge and helping keep the stories of the Holocaust alive.
